After 3 + weeks of waiting, Ryan's mission call finally came. He was called to the California Roseville Mission. He was to enter the MTC on November 14, 2012.
Just looking at the envelope made mom start crying. We had to wait for family to arrive to open it...Talk about torture!!
Since some family members could not be here in person, we set up computers to Skype. We had Cindy, Jessica and Tim, and Diana on the computers. Lori and her family were doing "facetime" with Julie Zelasko. Dad was on Rick's phone, and Brian just happened to call me right before Ryan read his letter. Rick drove down from Littleton to be present. Julie, John and Jordan joined us also. Then the Bairs--Karen, Bill, Allison (her 3 children) and Maddie--all showed up. It was such a neat experience!
