FAMILY REUNION

I know, it's about time! But with my being sick with a "perma cold", aka a cold that won't go away...sitting in front of the computer and posting was not high on the priority list!

We had a wonderful time at our family reunion. We had over 60 bodies at the house. It was a little stressful, as the day before, we ended up with sick kids. We made them all stay upstairs and disinfected everything. We called the upstairs...the "Infirmary". Since there were other members of the family sick on the actual reunion day, they were "banned" to that room! My poor brother-in-law, Jason, had to listen to the programs that Chris wanted to watch since he was too sick to voice any complaints! Overall, it went well...we had too much food, but it was good.

Here is a picture of ALMOST everyone who was present!
We got all of my siblings together...That hasn't been done in MANY years!!
Then our "True Nature" came out...
We were missing MOST of the grandchildren...We attempted to get all of the grandchildren who were present in a picture...not all cooperated, but here is what we came up with!
Then the whole reason for our reunion...my Mom and Dad!
We are hoping that Mom has many more Christmases to come! With ALS(amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) or Lou Gehrig's disease, it is hard to know! She has a WONDERFUL outlook! I can't stress how important it is that we have a positive attitude when we face the trials in our life. I feel that if we could face our "small" trials as well as my mother is facing her "enormous" trial, we will all make it! We all share this trial with my mother. It is difficult to watch her struggle with speaking and eating, yet I love the peace that seems to radiate from her! I am grateful that Heavenly Father gave me such a wonderful loving mom...
she is not only my mother, but she is my friend!
